About this event
A Victorian Christmas Experience is part of the programme at The Real Mary King's Close in Edinburgh.
Step back in time this December. Begin with the standard 1-hour guided tour of Edinburgh's hidden history, then make your way to one of the underground vaulted rooms to meet a member of the Chesney family, one of the last residents of the Close, who tells of the festive season as it was in Victorian Edinburgh.
What to expect:
- Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December, plus 26 and 27 December
- A 1-hour standard guided tour, then a 30-minute interactive Victorian Christmas experience
- Tea and a scone with jam and clotted cream are included
- A hands-on festive craft activity inspired by authentic Victorian practices
- "£33 per adult & £26 per child"
- "No under 5 year olds"
- Audio guides are not available for this experience
