Abberton Stargazing is part of the Essex Wildlife Trust events programme at Abberton Reservoir Nature Discovery Park near Colchester.

Join Essex Wildlife Trust and our astronomy volunteers, from Tiptree Stargazers, to look at the night sky. Telescopes will be set up to observe the Moon, any visible planets, and other fascinating objects in the night sky.

What to expect:

  • Saturday 14 November: arrive anytime after 6.30pm; ends at 9.30pm
  • Learn the constellations and ask astronomy questions; volunteers give talks through the evening
  • Shop open and cafe serving snacks, cakes and hot and cold drinks
  • Wear warm clothing; only red light torches please
  • Cancelled only in extreme weather
  • Advanced booking essential
  • £10.00 per adult, £7.00 per child.
