Accessible Afternoon

Accessible Afternoon is part of the programme at the National Space Centre in Leicester. This is an accessible programme for all ages, that combines relaxed lighting and sounds around the Centre, with hands-on sensory activities. All activities are drop-in, to allow visitors to experience them in their own time.

What to expect:

• Sunday 8 November 2026; arrive any time from 10:00 for the Centre, and the Accessible Afternoon itself begins at 15:00 and runs to 18:00
• For SEN/SEND children, adults and families
• Lighting and sound levels will be managed throughout the attraction
• Sensory Space with moving stars, sensory toys and a big area of sensory goodies
• Drop-in craft sessions and hands-on science with the Discovery team, on the theme of the month
• After 15:00 the planetarium adds subtitled, BSL or free flow show options, plus a drop-in Tour of the Night Sky you can come and go from
