After Dark 2026 Horror Nights is part of the programme at Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein in Bath.
This year's edition is "The Watcher", described by the house as a "creature born of human anguish, sustained by every flicker of misery". Visitors go through five floors of a haunted 300-year-old house in total darkness.
What to expect:
- Five nights only: 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31 October 2026, "6pm - 9pm."
- "This event is not suitable for anyone under 15 years of age or the faint hearted!"
- Anyone aged 15-17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over
- "the psychological paranoia of total darkness, confinement and an assault on all the senses"
- Low crawl spaces on the second floor and in the basement, needing kneeling and crawling
- Very different from the daytime museum visit, which runs 11am to 4pm
- "Tickets from £15.50." An Essential Carer ticket is £0.00
- Not advised for expectant mothers or anyone with epilepsy or a heart condition
