About this event
Whether you dream of being in a band, feeling more confident on stage or taking your playing to the next level, this hands-on workshop series is for you. AMPLIFY is all about learning how performing music live really works - from soundchecks to the spotlight, you'll develop real-world skills in a supportive, high-energy environment alongside other young musicians. In partnership with The Arches, Live Borders Arts & Creativity and Heart of Hawick.
What to expect:
- Mondays at Heart of Hawick from 5 October, then 19 and 26 October and 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 November
- Finale on Saturday 5 December
- Sessions run 6.30pm to 8.30pm
- For young musicians aged 14 - 18
- For anyone who can already play a bit of guitar, bass, drums or keyboard, or sees themselves as the singer in a band
- Chance to perform live on the Heart of Hawick stage
- Free, registration essential
