Apple Picking and Pressing

Celebrate the apple harvest in Scotney’s Walled Garden and help us gather this year’s crop. Visitors can take part in every step of the apple pressing process, including picking, washing, pulping and pressing apples, before enjoying a taste of the finished juice. Along the way, discover the different apple varieties grown at Scotney and learn how best to care for apple trees at home. Drop in at any point during the day and stay for as long as you like. This informal, hands-on activity is perfect for families, garden enthusiasts and anyone keen to learn more about traditional orchard skills.

What to expect:

• The Walled Garden and carpark have level access, but the apple picking aspect of the event will involve uneven ground.
