About this event
The Autumn Glassblowing Experience is part of the events programme at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine. The museum's own scientific glassblower takes a small group through the basics at the furnace.
What to expect:
- A hands-on two-hour session at the furnace, making glass pieces to take home.
- "Never worked with glass before? No problem! Our friendly scientific glassblowing expert Robert, will show you everything you need to know and help you every step of the way."
- Wednesdays 1.00pm-3.00pm and Saturdays 10.00am-12.00pm, running to Saturday 31 October 2026.
- "£60 per person."
- "We'll provide refreshments and all safety equipment at no extra cost."
- Pre-booked only - these are not drop-in sessions.
- Held in the Linthouse Building on Irvine harbourside, where the museum cafe is a few minutes away.
