Autumn Heritage Bus Running Day and Transport Fair

Autumn Heritage Bus Running Day and Transport Fair is part of the events programme at the North West Museum of Road Transport in St Helens. This year the museum calls it "Fabulous 40s!" — forty years since bus deregulation in 1986, and forty years of the museum in its Hall Street depot.

What to expect:

• Sunday 25 October 2026, 10am to 4pm
• "Free rides on historic buses on different routes in St Helens"
• "Exhibitions, transport-themed sales stalls with books, models, photos and ephemera"
• A model railway show, and a new book launch signed by the author
• Refreshments available on site
• Admission: "£7.50 for adults"; "Accompanied children under 16 years FREE (max 4 per group)"
• No booking — turn up on the day; a small public car park sits opposite the museum entrance
• A few minutes' walk from St Helens Central railway station
