Autumn Steam Gala is part of the programme at the North Norfolk Railway (the Poppy Line) in Sheringham.
The railway's Autumn Steam Gala is back: a weekend of unlimited travel behind Britain's oldest working steam locomotive, Furness Railway No 20 (built 1863), plus engines from the home fleet.
What to expect:
- Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026
- Seven locomotives in steam each day; ride all day on trains from Victorian times to the 1960s
- Free Explorer’s Trail for all children
- After-dark steam running on Saturday 24 October as the clocks change
- Signal box from Reedham Junction open at Holt; demonstration goods trains
- Shed tours at Weybourne: A £10 supplement applies to Day Rover tickets for those wishing to take the Shed Tour.
- Day Rover tickets only; save 15% when you book in advance
- Weybourne Station is reached by train only during this event
