Back to the Iron Age!

Back to the Iron Age! is part of the programme at the Museum of the Iron Age in Andover. Step into the past and discover what life was really like over 2,000 years ago, with hands-on activities, storytelling and real archaeological inspiration.

What to expect:

• Thursday 29 October 2026 (October half term), 11am to 3pm
• Runs every Thursday of the Hampshire school holidays, with a different theme each week
• Meet Iron Age characters, handle replica tools and weapons, and learn how ancient communities cooked and crafted
• Try skills such as grinding grain or simple weaving
