About this event
Be inspired by the beautiful shells, pearls and embellishments in Pierre Mignard's painting, The Marquise de Seignelay, and create your own unique decorative piece to take home.
What to expect:
- Tuesday 27 October 2026; 30-minute workshops from 11am, last one 2.15-2.45pm, with a lunchtime break
- Younger children thread beads onto pipe cleaners to make colourful 3D shell-inspired designs
- Older children can try stitch work for more intricate shapes and patterns
- Suitable for families and adults; activities for all ages and abilities
- Led by Emma Hardy, embroidery specialist and textile artist
