Discover how beavers restore nature, reduce flooding, improve rivers and help build resilience to climate change. Beavers, What Have They Ever Done for Us? 📍 Bath Central Library 📅 29 October 🕚 11:00am to 12:00pm Join ecologist and conservationist Dr Richard Young, CEO of Beaver Trust, for an engaging talk on the return of the Eurasian beaver to Britain and the remarkable impact these animals can have on our landscapes. Known as “ecosystem engineers”, beavers reshape waterways through their foraging and dam-building behaviour, creating rich wetland habitats that support a wide range of wildlife. Their influence extends beyond biodiversity, helping to improve water quality, reduce flood risk, and increase resilience to drought.
