Children's Meeting at Central Edinburgh Quaker Meeting

Children's activities are part of the programme at Central Edinburgh Quaker Meeting, which worships at the Quaker Meeting House on Victoria Terrace. The aim is to help children explore spirituality and Quakerism, through discussion, reading, writing, art and craft and drama - and for the youngest, play, drawing and stories.

What to expect:

• On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month, alongside the 11am Meeting for Worship
• Designed for children aged 4+; younger children welcome with a parent or carer
• The 1st Sunday is a 45-minute All-age Meeting for Worship, based in silence but with a theme and a quiet activity children can join
• On 3rd and 5th Sundays children sit in worship with their parents for 10 minutes, then go out to Children's Meeting; collect at 12.15
• On 5th Sundays there is also a cafe visit for young people aged 12+
• The groups sometimes walk to the Scottish Wildlife Trust wildlife garden nearby
• Afterwards all gather in the Hall for squash and a biscuit
