Count Pumpkinstein's Halloween Trail is part of the programme at Hartlebury Castle, the bishops' palace and Worcestershire County Museum near Kidderminster.
The Castle's story is that it has a secret owner, Count Pumpkinstein, "A vegetarian vampire who has lived here for hundreds of years, he doesn’t drink blood but lives on his favourite food…pumpkins!" This year he needs help keeping the werewolves out.
What to expect:
- Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 October 2026, the October half-term week
- A trail around the historic Castle, hunting for werewolves disguised as ordinary visitors
- Pumpkins appear all around the Castle and the Pumpkin Patch is open to look at
- Whole site admission plus 50p for the trail only, paid on the door
- The trail is included free if you upgrade to Halloween Crafts or Pumpkin Carving, or both
- Annual tickets, passes and HHA cards can be used for the whole site admission
- No age is stated for the trail
