Creating Compelling Characters: Teens Creative Writing Workshop

Percy Jackson. Katniss Everdeen. Lara Jean Song. The best characters keep us reading as we want to know what happens to them next. Create your own in this fun 90-minute workshop for writers aged 12 to 17. You’ll leave with your own protagonist with a unique motivation, conflict, and character arc, ready for a story! This workshop is part of Colchester Library’s autumn creative writing programme for young writers. This series of workshops for writers aged 7 to 11 and 12 to 17 takes a fun, hands-on approach, led by creative writing tutor Daisy Jones. Each session stands alone, so you can come to just one, or as many as you like.
