Design Camp for ages 11 to 14: Create in Clay is part of the programme at the Design Museum in Kensington, London.
This workshop will introduce young people to the tactile material of clay and its many properties through a day of hands-on exploration, creating pinch pots, exploring wheel throwing and turning, and making their own crafting tools.
What to expect:
- Thursday 29 October 2026, 10:15-16:15 (October half term)
- Suitable for young people aged 11 to 14
- Inspired by the museum's display PLATFORM: Simone Brewster
- Drawing, pinch pots, wheel throwing and turning, and carving leather-hard clay
- Drop-off session: participants are signed in on arrival and collected by an adult
- Materials and light refreshments provided; bring a packed lunch
