Design Camp for ages 7 to 10: Create in Clay is part of the programme at the Design Museum in Kensington, London.
This workshop will introduce children to the tactile material of clay and its many properties through a day of hands-on exploration, creating pinch pots, exploring wheel throwing and turning, and making their own crafting tools.
What to expect:
- Wednesday 28 October 2026, 10:00-16:00 (October half term)
- Suitable for children aged 7-10
- Inspired by the museum's display PLATFORM: Simone Brewster
- Starts with drawing, then pinch pots, a go on the potter's wheel and carving leather-hard clay
- Drop-off session: children are signed in on arrival and collected by an adult
- Materials and light refreshments provided; bring a packed lunch
