Design Camp for ages 7 to 10: Stop Motion with Clay is part of the programme at the Design Museum in Kensington, London.
Inspired by the fascinating stop motion films of LAIKA Studios, children will create characters, shape clay models, and animate their own stories.
What to expect:
- Tuesday 27 October 2026, 10:00-16:00 (October half term)
- Suitable for children aged 7-10; no previous experience is required
- The day begins with a visit to LAIKA presents Wildwood: The Exhibition
- Children plan stories, design characters and build miniature sets, then film them frame by frame
- Each child takes home their sketches, handmade clay puppets and their own stop motion film
- Drop-off session: children are signed in on arrival and collected by an adult
- Materials provided; bring a packed lunch
