Dispelling animal myths is part of the October half-term programme at Pontefract Castle, run by Wakefield Museums and Castles. “Louise will dispel myths you may have heard and provide hands-on opportunities to meet a selection of her animals.”
What to expect:
- Thursday 29 October 2026, with two bookable sessions: “Ages 6+ - Thursday 29 October, 11:30am to 12:30pm” and “Ages 6+ - Thursday 29 October, 1:30pm to 2:30pm”
- “This event will take place in the Activity Zone at Pontefract Castle.”
- “£3 per child, accompanying adults free. Booking required”

- Hands-on contact with live animals brought in by Loulabelle’s jungle
- A separate relaxed SEND session runs the same morning at 10am
