About this event
The Educational Owl Hour at Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre near Bracknell is a hands-on owl session for children. "Specially aimed at those aged between 6 and 10 years the Owl Hour is a wonderfully unique fun educational session."
What to expect:
- October half term: 27, 28 and 31 October, 2pm, 1 hour
- Learn about British owls, their habitats, diet and status in the UK
- Dissect owl pellets, then handle and pose for photos with one of the owl team
- Small groups, held in the centre's teaching area, so it goes ahead in poor weather
- One adult stays with each child throughout and is included in the cost
- "Long sleeves are required when handling the birds"
- Stay on afterwards to see the other birds at the centre
