Explorer backpacks at Colby Woodland Garden

The backpacks are full of things which help little ones engage more with nature. Things like magnifying glasses, bug jars, measuring tools and some helpful guides for exploring nature. Look for bugs and find little surprises. Explorer backpacks are free of charge to borrow and there's no need to book.

What to expect:

• 20 September 2026 to 1 November 2026 on 13 selected dates, from 10:00 to 14:30
• "Designed for children with help from adults when needed."
• "Dogs on a short lead are welcome."
• Pick-up your backpack at the Welcome Centre
• "Wear weather appropriate clothing and shoes good for exploring."
• There is level access from drop off point but also gravel and grassy paths.
• No booking needed
