Family Activity: Spooky Science is part of the programme at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield.
Science is looking very spooooky at Kelham Island Museum this October half term, with fun-packed experiments at the museum, all with a Halloween twist. Back by popular demand, Spooky Science returns to help you make slime and learn about the chemical reactions behind it.
What to expect:
- Thursday 29 October 2026, 12pm-3pm, in October half term
- Make "the slimiest slime" and learn all about the chemical reactions behind it too
- Create "your own dancing ghost using balloons, paper and static electricity"
- "Just drop in" - no booking needed
- "Suggested donation £3", and museum entry is free
- The River Don Engine runs in steam at 12pm and 2pm, Thursday-Sunday
- The museum has a cafe, Joni, and a traditional on-site pub, The Millowners Arms
