About this event
Family Fridays is part of the programme at the Scottish National Gallery on the Mound in Edinburgh.
Every Friday during term-time the gallery gives its new spaces over to families. Mornings are for the littlest art-lovers - interesting textures, lights, sounds and sensory art-fun, and a cuppa for the parents and carers. The afternoons are for the big kids, with trails, play activities and hands-on making alongside artists.
What to expect:
- Held in the Clore Learning Space, every Friday during school term time
- Mornings 10am–12noon for ages 0–3; afternoons 2–4pm for ages 3 and over
- Free, drop-in - no booking required
- Sensory play in the morning; trails, play activities and making with artists in the afternoon
- Wheelchair access, accessible toilets, baby changing, a buggy park and lockers on site
- Cafe and restaurant in the gallery; no on-site car park, but on-street and blue-badge parking nearby
