Family Spooky Spider Search is part of the events programme run by Friends of Stamford Park, the volunteer group for this Grade II-listed park on the edge of Altrincham and Hale.
An hour of spider-hunting around the park on the Sunday after Halloween: collect a map, then go looking.
What to expect:
- Sunday 1 November 2026, 2-3pm, at Stamford Park
- Collect your spider map from between the play areas, then follow the trail round the park
- "Fancy dress encouraged"
- Just turn up - the group advertises no booking and no ticket
- Outdoors throughout, so dress for the weather
- The park has children's play areas, ornamental ponds, a woodland trail and a cafe
