About this event
Family Workshop: Sculpture Creatures is part of October half-term at The Hepworth Wakefield, which runs Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2026.
Make your own imaginary creature inspired by the sculptures in the Mrinalini Mukherjee: Unbound Forms exhibition. In the Clore Learning Studio use cardboard, paper, string and plasticine to create a cardboard creature to take home.
What to expect:
- Sunday 25, Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, drop-in 11am to 4pm (closed for lunch 1-1.30pm)
- Younger children can explore textures, form and stacking objects in floor based experimental play
- FREE with an exhibition ticket.
- Exhibition entry is £14 / £12.50. FREE for Members, Wakefield District residents and under 18s.
- Children must be accompanied at all times. Maximum of three children per adult please.
- Drop-in, first-come, first-served; families may have to wait to take part at busy times
