About this event
Fibre Discovery Studio is part of the programme at The Harris in Preston. A family drop-in exploring the journey from fleece to fibre.
What to expect:
- Tuesday 27 October, 11am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3pm, in The Studio
- Handle raw fleece, wool and cotton and watch spinning demonstrations on a drop spindle and spinning wheel
- Have a go at carding, then make a woven keepsake on a cardboard loom, or paper weaving for younger visitors
- Activities last from 5 to 30 minutes depending on the participant
- Free, no ticket needed - just drop in
- Part of The Harris's October half-term programme
