Finding my roots

Finding my roots is part of the October half-term programme at Pontefract Castle, run by Wakefield Museums and Castles with the artists Lo-Fi Alchemists. “free Halloween-inspired creative activities” using natural materials and earth pigments.

What to expect:

• Friday 30 October 2026, 10am to 2pm, drop in
• Experiment with magic plant potions made from natural materials, and pick a paint brush to mix colours
• “Design and paint a spooky bookmark with earth pigments and natural dyes.”
• “Have a go at transfer prints using natural materials pressed on paper.”
