Finger Loop Braiding and Luceting is part of the Tattie Holidays activities programme at Braemar Castle, which runs 16-24 October 2026.
Two old cord-making crafts, finger loop braiding and luceting, taught at the castle - and you go home with what you made.
What to expect:
- Saturday 24 October, 11am — make your own snail or bracelet
- Traditional braiding and luceting taught from scratch; no experience needed
- The Crafty Guidwives of Speyside are giving traditional craft displays around the castle the same day
- Activities are aimed at primary age children and last roughly 1 hour
- £3 per child (accompanying adult free)
- Includes a drink and a snack

- Held inside Braemar Castle, on the edge of the village on the A93; free-flow parking at the castle gate
