Flying Scotsman - Standard Travel is part of the events programme at Swanage Railway in Dorset.
Experience the sight, sound and power of Flying Scotsman on the Swanage Railway. A Standard Travel ticket is a reserved-seat round trip behind the world's most famous steam locomotive, through the Isle of Purbeck countryside between Swanage and Norden.
What to expect:
- Five dates: 24, 25, 28 and 29 October and 1 November 2026
- A reserved-seat return journey behind Flying Scotsman from Swanage to Norden, passing beneath the ruins of Corfe Castle
- Seats are reserved and you must travel on the departure shown on your ticket, so arrive at Swanage Station in good time
- A Freedom of the Line ticket is included for extra journeys behind the railway's other steam locomotive that day
- Break the journey at Corfe Castle for the village, the castle ruins and the railway museum, or at Norden for the mining museum
- "Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult"
