Step into a world of myth, magic and nature this October half-term with our Folklore and Fable Autumn Trail. Journey through the beautiful grounds of Gilbert White’s House & Gardens to find different plants.
What to expect:
- Runs Saturday 17 October to Sunday 1 November 2026 in the gardens
- A journey stick and a map at the start help you uncover fascinating folklore
- Find out which tree was believed to protect against witchcraft, and which was thought to be a gateway to another world
- Perfect for curious children and adults alike, but best for over 5 year olds
- Trail sheets are £2 (admission tickets also required)
- Book general admission in advance or pay on the door
- The house and gardens open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30-16:30
