Free tours of Acorn Bank's orchard

Enjoy a relaxing walk through the orchard with one of our knowledgeable volunteers. You'll hear about the history of the orchard, where 165 varieties are grown, be introduced to a few that are fruiting at the time of your visit and hear about their care. If you're coming specifically for the tour, please check the website or phone the property in case of last-minute cancellations.

What to expect:

• 20 September 2026 to 18 October 2026 on 5 selected dates
• Runs in sessions through the day
• "There's one tour at 12 noon then one at 2pm. Book your place on the day at the Shepherd's Hut…"
• Meet at the Dovecote near the café. One of our volunteers will meet you there.
• "Please wear clothing suitable for the weather that day as you'll be walking around outside."
