About this event

Join Tate Modern for a day of music, making, remembrance and celebration, co-curated with selector and radio host Coco María and inspired by Frida: The Making of an Icon. Enjoy live performances, community workshops, a collaborative ofrenda, a colourful procession and activities throughout the building.

What to expect:

  • Sunday 1 November 2026, daytime festival 10.00–18.00
  • Daytime workshops are free and drop-in, open to all ages, with all materials provided
  • Calavera face painting, paper marigolds, nichos and music in the South Tanks
  • Day of the Dead Procession 15.00–15.30, starting in the South Tank
  • Ticketed evening programme of live music 19.00–22.00 (separate)
