Fright Night

Fright Night is part of the events programme at the Kent & East Sussex Railway, running out of Tenterden Town Station. An evening train rattles through the dark countryside with the lights down, drummers and a fire eater at the far end, and fireworks over Northiam.

What to expect:

• Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026; "Arriving at Tenterden from 5:30pm allows time to collect tickets", and "The train creeps out of Tenterden Town Station at 6:30pm"
• "The train is due back at Tenterden Town Station around 8:15pm"
• "Free Hallowe'en themed children's activities are also available from 5pm until the train departs including spooky face painting"
• Drummers and a fire eater, "A dazzling firework display at Northiam", and "Children get a spooky-themed munch bag for the journey"
• "Bring the whole family and dress to impress in your scariest finery"
• "Free parking is available for customers" just over the level crossing; fireworks subject to weather
