About this event
Go Darker is part of Halloween at Kents Cavern, which runs 17 October to 1 November 2026.
In the cavern's words: "Step beyond the familiar tales and discover the darker side of this ancient place. Explore the mysterious marks found within the caves, learn about ancient rites, the last witches in England, folklore and the traditions that have shaped Devon for centuries."
What to expect:
- Seven dates: Sat 17, Sun 18, Sat 24, Sun 25, Mon 26, Sat 31 October and Sun 1 November 2026
- Hourly guided tours from 10:00, the last starting at 16:00 (15:00 on 1 November)
- "Recommended for those who like their history with a darker edge"
- It replaces the standard guided tour for the duration, so it is the cave tour on those days
- Expect ancient rites, cave markings, witch folklore and Devon traditions
- Underground at a constant 15C with nine shallow steps; sensible footwear
