Goddenwick Pumpkin Festival

Goddenwick Pumpkin Festival is part of the autumn programme at Goddenwick Farm, 150 acres ten minutes from Haywards Heath. Two pumpkin patches sit among the rows of the farm's biggest Christmas trees, with a decorated woodland trail, a maze and the farm animals around them.

What to expect:

• "Weekends and half term only: Sat 10, Sun 11, Sat 17, Sun 18, then daily Sat 24 to Sat 31 October"
• "£5 per person, under 2s go free"; "Pumpkins are sold individually and priced by size"
• Included: pumpkin picking, the one-kilometre spooky trail and maze, the farm animals, Roost Cafe
• Live music, the beer hall and street food at weekends only
• "Bookings only this year" and "no walk-ins": book an arrival window online, then stay a few hours
• "Bring your wellies" — a working field that turns muddy after rain
• The patch by the car park is level woodchip and chippings; the second has paths steep in places
