About this event
Gory Stories is part of Halloween at Bamburgh Castle. Storyteller Jim takes over the atmospheric Keep Hall with “gruesome tales of some of the grisliest ways people have met their maker throughout the ages”.
What to expect:
- 24, 25, 30 and 31 October 2026, with tellings at 11.15am and 2.15pm on each day
- Meet at the bottle-shaped door, the exterior entrance to The Keep
- “Included with standard Castle admission” – no separate event ticket
- “Not for the faint-hearted – this event contains mild horror!”
- The castle says it is a family-friendly event, but that some tales “may be a little too much for younger or more sensitive children. Parental discretion is advised.”
