Halloween at Hesketh Farm Park

Halloween is part of the programme at Hesketh Farm Park, a working farm just outside Bolton Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales. "Halloween is a fun week at the farm park from pumpkin carving to Halloween quizzes."

What to expect:

• The farm's half-term week, Monday 26 October to Sunday 1 November 2026; gates open at 10am
• One of the animal barns is transformed into a Halloween grotto, "full of spooks and groans"
• Pumpkin carving, with "always a friendly witch around to lend a hand", quizzes, and staff in costume
• Animal feeding and egg-collecting through the day, announced by a bell - calf feeding, egg collecting, donkey feeding and pony brushing
• Guinea pigs to cuddle all day, day-old chicks to handle, and pigs to brush
• Tractor and trailer rides with Farmer Chris, "a small additional charge of £1.50"
• Giant sandpit, pedal tractors, go-karts, spider's net, straw maze, zip wire and rope swing
• Large heated undercover barns, so it works in Dales weather; no dogs except guide dogs
