About this event
"Board the Scream Train and solve the mystery of the Swamp Monster of Irwell Vale!" Zombie Bob and the Monster Squad hunt a shadowy creature leaving giant footprints and dripping slime along the line.
What to expect:
- Thursday 29, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026, departing Bury Bolton Street at 17:30, 19:00 and 20:30
- The round trip lasts about an hour; passengers stay on board throughout
- First a Halloween walkthrough on the footbridge - "expect jump scares!" - then Vampire Brian and Veronica the Witch with a song and a dance
- The Scream Train has had a makeover: flickering lights, eerie sounds and a very unwelcome visitor climbing aboard
- Come in fancy dress; arrive 20 minutes before your departure
- Toilets on board and on the platform; buffet and BBQ at Bury
- Every train has an adapted carriage for wheelchair users
- Parking at Bury is very limited; a shuttle runs from Heywood, Adult GBP 3.50, Child (3-17) GBP 2.50
- No dogs except assistance dogs
