History Haven

History Haven is part of the programme at the West Highland Museum in Fort William. In the museum's own words: "Take a fun trip back in time, with our Community and Learning Officer, to explore varied history and heritage topics on each visit" - and "your children are all more than welcome to come along!"

What to expect:

• The first Saturday of each month, 10.30am to 12.30pm.
• Two hours led by the museum's own Community and Learning Officer.
• A different history or heritage topic each time, so it is worth coming back.
• Held in the museum on Cameron Square, in the middle of Fort William.
• The museum is free to enter, with donations welcome towards its upkeep.
• The Jacobite and Highland Life galleries are open around the session, so you can make a morning of it.
• Indoors throughout; museum hours are Monday to Saturday, 10.00 to 17.00.
