About this event
Horrible Histories Halloween is part of the programme at Leeds Castle in Kent. For October half term the Castle grounds turn into a ghost getter's trail of royal spirits, witch trials and gruesome superstitions — history with the nasty bits left in, and in the Castle's own words intriguing rather than frightening.
What to expect:
- Daily from Saturday 17 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, grounds open 10am to 5pm
- A fact-finding trail round the grounds with six challenge stations and live performers
- Spin the Wheel of Ghostly Fate, out-shoot Henry VIII, brew a banishing potion and run the Ghost Getter Relay Race
- Write your own spooky story, and finish at the Maze for the Ghostly Gala finale with music and dancing
- Fancy dress is a must — costume competitions run twice daily
- Included with your admission ticket; complete every challenge to earn your Ghost Getter reward
- Trail book available at a small additional cost, includes a gold coin prize per trail booklet
