Little Discoverers - Sparkle Jars

Little Discoverers - Sparkle Jars is part of the programme at Glastonbury Abbey, a ruined medieval monastery in 36 acres of grounds in Somerset.

Little Discoverers are the abbey's sessions for under-5s and their carers, built around a theme that connects to Glastonbury Abbey, and each one lasts an hour.

What to expect:

• Thursday 5 November 2026, 10.30am to 11.30am, at Abbey House
• Glastonbury Abbey used to be lit by lanterns and candles, so this session makes mini lanterns from recycled materials
• For under-5s and their carers, "to play, explore and discover together"
• "All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session."
• "Please wear suitable clothing for messy crafts."
• "Little Discoverers sessions are included in your abbey admission or Membership."
• Abbey House has its own address on Chilkwell Street, not the Abbey Gatehouse
