October Half Term Halloween at Dudley Zoo and Castle
About this event
Join us this October half term as we celebrate Halloween here at DZC, with spooky activities and ghost talks around the 40-acre zoo and the 11th century Dudley Castle.
What to expect:
- Daily from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2026
- "Children tickets for £1 – T&C’s apply" (pre-book online or pay on the day; £1 tickets are for ages 3-15)
- 'Marvellous Monsters' activity room in the Discovery Centre, 11am to 3pm
- A bat trail around the 40 acres, with a chance to win a special prize
- Extended daily talks programme from 11am, including a Bird of Prey display in the Castle Courtyard at 12pm
- Ghost Stories in the Castle Undercroft at 12.45pm and a History and Ghost Talk at 2.30pm
- Take a trip on the ghost train and hunt out bat boxes hidden around the site
