October Illuminate 2026 - Immersive Winter Lights at the Gardens

October Illuminate is part of the programme at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens near Weymouth. As darkness falls the gardens and woodland valley come alive with a lit trail, and this year the operator promises “Our longest Illuminate route yet”.

What to expect:

• Every evening from Saturday 24 to Saturday 31 October 2026 - the half-term run, confirmed in the gardens' own ticketing system
• A walked trail through the gardens and woodland valley after dark, with light, colour, shapes and textures around every turn
• The operator's own line on who it is for: “Illuminate is an experience for all ages.” No age recommendation is given
• “Family tickets are available, with no booking fee and free car parking included.”
• Booked by timeslot in advance through the gardens' own ticket shop; adult, child, disabled and carer tickets are all sold
• Outdoors and after dark; the operator asks you to check its social media on the day, because high winds can cancel an evening
