Open Cockpit Day is part of the events programme at The Helicopter Museum near Weston-super-Mare.
It's great to look but even better to climb in and experience from the inside. Open Cockpit days are fun for all the family and allow visitors to access the cockpits of selected helicopters.
What to expect:
- Sunday 15 November 2026
- Climb in, put the helmet on and have the controls explained by an experienced guide
- Over 80 aircraft on display, including two of the Queen's Royal Flight helicopters and the world speed record holder G-LYNX
- Free parking, cafe and gift shop, all weather undercover, childrens play area, wheelchair accessible
- "There are no extra admission charges for our events, all are at our standard museum admission price and tickets can be purchased on the day at the door. No need to book."
- Admission: "Adults: £15.00 Children (3-15): £8.50"
