Picture yourself! is part of the programme at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery on Queen Street in Edinburgh.
Step into a world of imagination every afternoon of the October holidays with this free drop-in creative activity inspired by photographer Wendy McMurdo. Experiment with drawing, collage and playful making as you create surprising characters, dreamlike scenes and imaginative self-portraits.
What to expect:
- Every afternoon from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October 2026, 2–4pm
- Free, drop-in - the gallery says 'Perfect for all ages and stages, free - no booking'
- Drawing, collage and playful making, with materials provided
- Inspired by the Wendy McMurdo: The Digital Mirror exhibition in the same building
- A quieter, autism and learning disability friendly version runs on the Wednesday morning
- Wheelchair access, accessible toilets, baby changing and a buggy park on site
