Pumpkins After Dark Edinburgh

An outdoor, time-slotted walk-through Halloween light trail at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, running from 9 to 31 October 2026. The route is a pathway of roughly one kilometre through large installations built from more than 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins, with live pumpkin-carving demonstrations, live entertainment, food trucks and photo opportunities. The operator states most guests spend one to two hours, that the event runs rain, shine or snow, and that there are NO jump scares - it is designed to be enjoyed by all ages. Entry is by booked time slot; last entry is 10pm and the lights go off at 11pm. Opening times vary by date (from 6.45pm early in the run down to 5pm for the final week). A sensory-friendly hour runs on 14 October, 6.30-7.30pm, with no flashing lights, quieter music and reduced attendance. On all other occasions the event contains strobe and flashing lights, fog machines, blacklights and loud sound effects.
