Relaxed Morning: National Museum of Flight

Relaxed Morning is part of the programme at the National Museum of Flight at East Fortune in East Lothian. Friendly staff give you a warm welcome and support your visit as you explore the museum without noisy interactives and videos. The session is primarily, but not only, for families with neurodivergent children and adults, adults living with dementia, and any visitors with sensory needs, plus their families and carers.

What to expect:

• Sunday 13 September, Sunday 11 October, Sunday 8 November and Sunday 13 December 2026, 10.00am - 12.00pm
• Loud sounds from audio-visual displays, interactives and films reduced or switched off where possible; sound comes back on at 12.00
• A quiet space in the Concorde Theatre from 10.00 until 12.30
• Sensory backpacks to borrow, and signage flagging noisier galleries
• The sound of the interactives in Fantastic Flight cannot be reduced
• An open session - arrive and leave whenever you like
• Free with museum admission
