About this event

Samhain Family Activity Trail is part of the programme at the Museum of the Iron Age in Andover. Before Halloween, Britons celebrated a festival called Samhain, and many modern traditions were inspired by it. Journey through the Iron Age and add to your own Samhain mask as you explore the past.

What to expect:

  • Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm
  • Mask-making stops include bonfire eyebrows, a mistletoe crown, Iron Age animals, ancestor offerings and autumn leaves
  • Craft your own unique mask and receive a spooky treat as a reward
  • "Free with annual ticket to Museum of the Iron Age - prize on completion"
