Scottish Maritime Museum Winter Market 2026

The Winter Market is part of the events programme at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine. For three days the glass-roofed Linthouse building fills with stalls from local makers, free to walk into - "one of the largest markets in the West of Scotland".

What to expect:

• Free entry across all three days, with handmade gifts from small Ayrshire makers and producers.
• Stalls sit inside the vast glass-roofed Linthouse and its courtyard, among the museum's boats and model ships.
• Friday 27 November is an evening session, 4pm-9pm; Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 run 11am-4pm.
• When funding allows there is live music, children's activities, workshops and glass-working demonstrations.
• Sunday is Museum Shop Sunday - the museum's framing is "Shopping with Purpose".
• Wrap up: the Linthouse is an unheated industrial shed with a glass roof.
• "Not all objects and galleries were accessible during your visit" while the market is on.
