About this event
Sensory art club is part of the programme at Modern One, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh.
A fully inclusive art club for people of all ages with profound and multiple learning disabilities, and their families, friends and supporters. Explore the gallery on a sensory-friendly tour, then make something in the learning room with the gallery's artists.
What to expect:
- Saturday mornings, 11am–12.30pm, on 14 November 2026, 9 January 2027 and 13 March 2027
- Open to all ages - the club is built around profound and multiple learning disabilities
- A sensory-friendly tour of the gallery spaces, then creative activities with friendly artists
- Fun and relaxed, with time for families to have a cuppa and a chat
- Free, but booking essential - one ticket per participant; companions do not need a ticket
- A sensory map and a video introduction to the gallery can be downloaded beforehand
- Hearing loop, wheelchair access, a Changing Places toilet and on-site parking
